Rules: ADLG 2014 edition with latest amendments
Figure Scale: 15/18mm
Army size: 200 points
Format: 4 players Team tournament
Rounds: 5
Periods: Each Team’s player play in a different period using a single list.
- Biblical: until 688 B.C
- Classical: From 687 B.C until 475 A.C.
- Dark Ages: From 476 A.C. until 1329 A.C. (No Heavy or Foot Knights allowed)
- Medieval: From 1330 A.C.

Trophies will be awarded for:
- Best Team
- Best Players on each period

Medals will be awarded for:
- 2nd and 3rd Team

We’re extremely saddened to announce that our 2020 Lusitania Challenge event suffered today a strong setback.

On today’s follow-up meeting with the Museum direction, we were informed that the army staff decreed that, due to the pandemic, all army programmed event until the end of the year should be cancelled, this includes important commemoration dates for the Army and Portugal’s history. The Military museum being a military unit needed to comply and cancel all events, including our tournament.

Considering the confidence on the event that the Museum has being sharing to use on the last weeks and the success that Portugal had on this last week of the 3rd confinement phase, this announcement was not to expect.

In the end of the meeting we deliver to the Museum director a document exposing our reasons, demonstrating that the Lusitania Challenge couldn’t compared to a military parade. As measure beside other measures, we proposed to reduce the number of Teams to 10 (40 players) to restrain contagion risk. The document will be handled to the General army staff and a final answer will be delivered next week. However, our expectation on a positive answer are low and we’re expecting for the worst.

It took one more week to have a final answer, but sadly we got what we were afraid of. Even or proposal for a tournament restricted to 10 Teams was rejected, we won’t have the Lusitania Challenge this year.

We’re sorry to disappoint you, especially because we were sure that we could make this event in total security and, even with the COVID pandemic, we would have a great group of players.

We really hope that we can redeem ourselves with a great tournament next year, hope to have around in 2021.
