Any chance the french rules could have been translated into a more international language first.

I don't have an influence on what rules are used.
When I play in France I go along with the way it runs there.
In the UK it's as the umpire runs it.
The commodore helped run things in the UK but there seems to be no English translation.

How do you run things in the USA? To the French rules?

In the USA we are a happy family. We work together in sharp elbowed camaraderie and this hu-ha has not crossed the Atlantic.

I am actually being serious. This just isn't the flash point for us ...for a change.

We have the same tensions between highly competitive and more enjoyment oriented gamers, but it works. Sometimes there is a grumble in the game, but we have other things that cause us to "clear the bleachers" if that phrase translates. Just not this.
