When a group charges a enemy who flees and the group continues its charge and then one of its charging units gets stopped by the ZOC of another enemy, does the entire charging group stop, or just the unit in the ZOC while the others continue charging on as per the charge rules?
For example, consider the two knights (#2 & #3) below (not K1 already in contact with the cavalry above) who wheel slightly and then charge the LC. The LC flees and then the knights start moving forward whereupon K2 is immediately ZOCed by the middle Cav and stops. What does/can Knight 3 do? Can/must it keep moving forward until it has gone 2 UD (if non-impetuous) or it’s full move (if impetuous)? Or can/must K3 stop immediately alongside K2 when it is forced to stop by the middle Cav’s ZOC?

I think the answer is that the other units in the charging group which are themselves not stopped, can and sometimes (if they haven’t yet gone their min. distance or are impetuous) must continue charging even if this breaks up the charging group, no? |
