Surely a fake post! It's not possible to announce Campaign earlier than late April, surely? _________________ www.madaxeman.com |

That all sounds very exciting - I'm available to act in my traditional role as 'handicap' for the team that is short of a player or fails to submit their lists in time.
But I also heard a whisper there might be a 28mm period this year |

Hi Darrell,
It was mooted that one of the periods may be 25/28mm for 2024. Is that the case, or are all three 15mm as previously?
Cheers, Ian. |

Hi
All periods are 15mm. I believe Ian speed is trying to put together a 25 mm competition for
campaign |

Hi Darrell,
I've parked the idea of running 25mm in parallel to avoid any risk of cannibalising the 15mm entry.
I'll get my smallest paintbrush out and sort an army for one of the 15mm periods.
Cheers, Ian. |

There is still the option we discussed last year if you know 5/6 people who weren't intending on going to campaign but would if there was a 25 mm period. |

Hi Darrell
Is it the case that there are no allied contingents allowed, other than those stated (e.g. Steppe Mongol for the Yuan Chinese)?
Many thanks

Hi Darrell,
After the late struggle last year to get a sixth team I'm thinking it's best to secure the basic event first. If we have a surplus of players maybe we can restructure for convenience later.
We have a team to enter:-
Alumwell And An Old (sorry Mark) Friend:-
Period 1 - Richard Walker
Period 2 - Mark Fry
Period 3 - Ian Speed
Side question - Wouldn't Burmese fit the Kublai Khan period quite nicely? Unless we think elite elephants skew the balance of the period?
Cheers, Ian. |

Here is the information that I should post ever year but seem to always fail.
For those that haven't been before the event is a 2 day event.
It takes place at Middleton hall - or if you prefer Mk Shopping centre.
It's teams of 3 , One in each period.
It's 3 games on the Saturday 2 on the Sunday.
It's 105 per team of 3. Paying on the day is the norm but the Mk wargames club webiste has detail on paying in advance if you still have a cheque book.
If you want to enter you can either leave a message on the forum or email me at packwide@aol.com Ideally listing team members and team name. |
