|
This nearly came up at the weekend (at Devizes) but the dice result meant that the rampaging elephant went in another direction, so we were saved the need to check the question.
However, if an integral commanders unit is 'rampaged' through by an elephant, the unit takes a Disorder, but does the Commander also have to be diced for as if that unit had received the Disorder as a result of a combat?
Logic would say yes to me, but as the commander doesn't have to dice if his unit takes a missile casualty, logic may not enter into it

Page 28 says that the test for a commander is only if the commander is in combat.
Second bullet.
It also says "for any reason"
So if the commander is in combat and suffers a cohesion loss due to the rampage or other rout he or she must test even if they did not suffer in the melee.
but they must be in combat |

The fourth bullet says the test occurs after the resolution of all combats in the Rout and Pursuit phase, so yes Rout/Rampage/Pursuit Multiple Attacks all might force a 1 or 1-2-3 DR check. |

This integral general on his or her (her being a perfectly historical possibility in a Burmese army) Elephant was actually an overlap.
So I suspect that would have meant no test?
As generally support is not counted as being in combat for command purposes for an integral general. _________________ 'He could have lived a risk-free, moneyed life, but he preferred to whittle away his fortune on warfare.' Xenophon, The Anabasis |

See the errata for page 28.
Simple support is never considered in melee. Melee support often is, however the errata makes it crystal clear that only if the general is attached to the main unit in melee is there a test.
so no test in this case |
