If a scythed chariot charges a bowman does the bowman benefit from the +1 bonus in the first round. I think so.
Page 16 says LMI retain their combat factor. It also lists the only special abilities which count and it is not included in the list. But this "bonus" is not normally considered to be a special ability and does not appear in the list of abilities. |

LI other 0 basic (no incendiary bonus against SCh)
LMI Javelinmen 1 basic +1 javelin
LMI shooters 0+1 basic (volley bonus)
LH javelin 0 basic +1 javelin
LH other 0 basic
WWg 2 basic
WWg battle-ready 2+1? basic (is battle-ready a bonus or a special ability?)
El 2 basic +1 impact

Anything that appears “in the box†on p22 is generally considered to be the “combat factor†of a unit.Â
“Special Abilities†appear on pages 17-22.
They are not “bonusesâ€, they are (ahem) Special Abilities.Â

It is clear on p22 they get the +1
LMI Bowmen +1 vs mounted
SCH are mounted.
Scythed Chariots opponents are 0 except ...LMI which keeps its factors. |
