Worst period to be alive - Themed tournament 15/16 Feb 2025, Athens, Greece
"The worst period to be alive - 490 to 570 AD": In the middle of the 6th century, a mysterious fog plunged Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia into darkness, day and night—for 18 months. Summer temperatures dropped 1.5°C to 2.5°C, initiating the coldest decade in the past 2300 years. Snow fell that summer in China; crops failed; people starved. On top of that, the Justinian Plague!
Venue: Strategikon Club (https://maps.app.goo.gl/MVvvu5vW3sn8BwA4A)

Prizes: Best 3 players will get a 28mm miniature painted. Also, other painted 28mm minatures will be given through a lottery. Any participant may win them but best scoring players, players that killed most enemy generals and looted the most baggages will have slightly better chances. Small surprises for the rest of players.

Unfortunately not an ideal weekend from the UK as it is school holiday and so flight costs increase massively. Double or even treble other weekends. |

Will check on that and get back. But just saw at some airline online bookings and have quite normal prices (eg €170 to €250) or even less |
