Following the success of the Munster Open last weekend, we are pleased to announce our next ADLG competition – the Cork Open (not very original I am afraid)
This will be a 200 AP, ADLG competition using the latest (V4) of the rules.
Held on 3rd and 4th May at The Hut, Summerhill North as per our last competition and thanks to the 3rd Cork Scout Group.
The, again very broad, theme is Dark Ages and Feudal Europe, Middle East and Africa. The allowed armies are:
Lists 124 to 138 inclusive. 141 to 167 inclusive and 179 to 220 inclusive (any Allies taken must also come from these lists)
Competition entries must be notified to richardaynsley"@"hotmail.com (remove the ")
Army list cutoff date and list checker will be advised nearer the date.
Hope you can all attend, and the weather doesn’t put paid to the event. For any overseas visitors, come see Cork in the springtime rather than the winter |

So this weekend is the first Cork Open. We have 17 players (was 18 but unfortunately a late drop out) which is excellent.
The lists are in, and many thanks to Michele for doing the checking.
So here are the runners and riders, or should I say Tuaregs versus the rest of the world ?
Richard Aynsley – Ghaznavid
William Coughlan – Rus
Tom Worden – Feudal English
Tommy Worden – Feudal Welsh
David Houston – Beja
Dan Hazelwood – Nikephorian Byzantine
Stephen Brittain – Berber
Ger Sexton – Tuareg
Martin O’Shea – Fatimid Egyptian
Dylan Murray – Irish
Stephen Ladanyi – Tuareg
Robin Jackson – Justinian Byzantine
Francesco Velotto – Teutonic Knights
Ian Soulsby – Arab Conquest
Colm Duffy – Later Crusader
Angelo Autolino – Tuareg
Ciro Caccaviello - Konstantinian Byzantine
So no duplicates apart from Tuaregs in triplicate !!
Looking forward to the weekend. |
