Dear ADLG friends,

On March 29th (Saturday) and 30th (Sunday), 2025, the German Art de la Guerre Individual Championship (German Open) will take place in Braubach. Five games will be played in 15/18mm scale.

Unlike last time, the tournament will not be held in the TV Braubach gymnasium, but in the Knights' Hall of the Marksburg tavern. At the Marksburg, a communal dinner in the Marksburg tavern is a mandatory part of the program. The cost of this is included in the participation fee of 45 € per player.

This time, the games will be played in the Dark Ages period (armies 477-1049 AD).

It is a nice tradition to go out for having dinner together on the Friday evening before the tournament. This time, we will meet on Friday, March 28th, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. at the Pizzeria Laguna and toast the tournament. Please let us know when you register if you would like to attend this dinner so that we can reserve a corresponding number of tables.

German Open 2025 briefly:

Date: Saturday, March 29, 2024, 9:00 a.m., to Sunday, March 30, 2024, 5:00 p.m.
Location: Knights' Hall of the Marksburgschänke, Marksburg, 56338 Braubach
The car park at the castle is not very spacious. Parking costs around €5 per day, so it makes sense to carpool.
Participation fee: € 45 per player (dinner on Saturday included). We will collect the participation fee on site.
Maximum number of players: 40
Game system: L'Art de la Guerre, 4th Edition
Figure scale: 15/18mm
Period restriction: Dark Ages (armies 477-1049 AD). No knights allowed.
Every army list must have a year number that clearly assigns it to the era being played.
There are no geographical restrictions; American armies in particular are welcome.
Allies: Must be within the period.
Army size: 200 points.
Please bring: The terrain parts relevant to you, in any case the terrain parts prescribed for your own army's home terrain.
If you have them, please also bring playing surfaces (boards and/or mats) and let us know the number.
Dice: will be provided. The use of dice towers or cups is mandatory.
Number of games: 5 (3 games on Saturday, 2 games on Sunday)
Playing time: max. 2.5 hours each. At least 7 rounds must be played, unless a decision is made beforehand. If the fifth round is not finished after 2 hours, the game is played with "blitz" moves until the end of the seventh round.

The registration must contain the following data:
- Name and AdlG player ID of the player
- Club name
- Number of game boards / mats / cloths that you will bring with you.
- Participation in the Friday evening meal (yes / no)
