Are Allied Gens only able to commnd allied troops from their own lists? I can't find any thing specific that says they must, only what they must choose from their own lists. |

I would be surprised if they could command other troops unless there is specific wording permitting it. I do read the right side of page 87 as describing how exactly the allied command is constituted. There is nothing saying it can include non-allied troops. |

My gut feeling is they can't, but whereas it implies it on p87, it doesn't specifically say he can only command his own troops. It just gives an outline as to how to choose troops from an allied corps. |

It says how to figure out what is allowed in the allied corps. The implication is that if it’s not allowed you can’t put it in the allied corps. |

Thus has indeed been the case in all wargames rules published since the actual age of antiquity which ADLG seeks to represent .. _________________ www.madaxeman.com |

Well yeah. Which is why I suspected that, but they at least went as far as to actually specify that. |

ADLG, p25, in the section headed "Allied Commander"
"An allied commander leads troops from another army list"
ADLG, p87, in the section "Allied Corps"
"One of the army's corps can be fielded as an allied corps from another list"
ADLG, p87, in the section "Allied Corps"
"To use an allied corps the player refers to the corresponding army list and chooses units from it with the following restrictions" _________________ www.madaxeman.com |
