VIII Mont Malus – Memorial David Codosero
Montmeló - Barcelona, 05 and 06 July 2025

We are pleased to invite you to the VIII edition of the AdlG Mont Malus tournament, which this year we will celebrate in memory of our friend and fellow hobbyist David Codosero, who recently passed away. The tournament is contested as part of the Ludus Bellum days, which also include Saga tournaments and demonstrations of other games.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Date: Saturday July 5 and Sunday July 6, 2025.
Place: Sala Polivalente, c/Vial de Ronda, s/n. Montmeló, Barcelona.

The payment procedure will be made by BANK TRANSFER or cash at the start of the tournament. The current account number will be provided privately when pre-registration is done.

Pre-registration by email to ludushistoriae@gmail.com until 31.05.2025, but we recommend doing it as soon as possible to be able to adjust the capacity of the room.
The registrations will be final after sending the lists and payment of the registration, deadline 15.06.2025.

BASES OF THE TOURNAMENT:

Scale: It will be played with armies with miniatures of 15 mm, on the official bases of the regulation for this scale. The miniatures must correctly represent the type of troop assigned to them and the army must be fully painted.

Rules: This tournament will apply the V4 "Art of War" version, including the latest rectifications, FAQs and official amendments published. This information can be found on the website: ADLG - Art Of War.

Punctuation: It will be ordered according to the victory points marked on the downloadable Excel sheet on the game's official WEB page.

Theme: Expansion of Greco-Roman civilization. From the Medical Wars to the fall of the Roman Empire (499 BC – 476 AD).

Army lists: It will be played with a single list of 200 points from among the following:

83 – 114

The year and option of the same must be indicated and it cannot include allied troops outside the indicated lists:

Army lists must be provided according to the Excel sheet that appears on the WEB site under the "Game Help" tab (in any language) and must be sent no later than June 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. to ludushistoriae @gmail.com.

Dice: it will be played only and exclusively with the dice that the organization will deliver. If both players agree at the start of the game, the following can be applied:
- The re-rolls (re-rolls). 3 restarts in the whole game.
- The average dice system (3 dice are thrown and the intermediate value is taken). It applies to combat, not shooting.

Terrain: The players will bring their terrain elements (and if possible carpets). The Organization will prohibit pieces of land that do not conform to the Regulation (size, shape) and the provisions of the "Land" chapter of the rules, page 70 and following of the regulation.

Rounds: Five rounds will be played, three on Saturday and two on Sunday morning. In the first four, the cross between players of the same club (and if possible of the same nationality) will be avoided. The first pairing will be random. The second and subsequent pairings will be made using the Swiss system.

Games: The games will have a maximum duration of 2h30min with a minimum of 7 turns per player, although it will continue to be played beyond those 7 turns if the game has not ended and there is time left. After the first 2 hours of play, the players will start playing blitz rounds of 2 minutes starting with the attacker if they have not completed the sixth round.

2nd match from 13:30-16:00
3rd match 16:30-19:00


Sunday 6. Presentation 08:15
4th Game from 08:30-11:00
5th Game from 11:15-13:45

LOGISTICS

Montmeló is 30 minutes by car or by train from the center of Barcelona. The room where we will play is a 10-minute walk from the train station, with frequent trips every 30 minutes from and to Barcelona.

Accommodation: there are two accommodation options within walking distance of the venue:

In the neighboring towns there are many other options that will require traveling by car.
