Art De La Guerre

As part of the annual Loups du Téméraire convention on November 1st and 2nd, 2025, an Art de la Guerre tournament will be organized:

Location: Espace Jean Jaurès, Place des Arts, 54510 Nancy-Tomblaine, France.

After having fought in Nancy in 1477 in 2023, then during the Arab Conquest period in 2024, the Loups du Téméraire now return to Antiquity.

In order to allow as many players as possible to participate, the tournament will allow the use of all army lists from the Antiquity period (Lists 1 to 123) as well as the Amerindian lists (Lists 283 to 300), with the exception of the option allowing a knight in List 290.

There is no restriction on how many times a list may be selected.

Allies must come from the lists mentioned above.

Registration includes: breakfast and lunch on both days, as well as a small welcome gift.
The registration fee is still to be determined.

Tournament Rules:

Pairings:

First round: random draw (members of the same club will not be paired together).

Subsequent rounds: Swiss system, avoiding intra-club matchups (except in the final round).

When revealing their army list to the opponent, players must specify any historical or geographical options and the date of their army. However, they are not required to announce any allies.

Game duration: 2 hours 30 to 2 hours 45, minimum 7 turns.

Games will end upon the referee's call, at the end of the defender's turn. Blitz rules may be used to ensure 7 turns are completed.

Terrain: Players must bring appropriate and representative terrain elements. The referee reserves the right to disallow any terrain deemed non-compliant (in size, shape, or realism) according to the terrain chapter of the rules.

Deployment plans must be prepared and shown to the opponent at the end of deployment. In case of non-compliance, the referee will redeploy the units.

Players must keep track of the turn count.

No rerolls.

Dice will not be provided. Players may use their own dice. However, the referee reserves the right to forbid a player from using a specific die if there is any doubt about its fairness.
