The ADLG 15mm tournament is returning to ReCon for a second year.
The Con is at the Wyndham Orlando Resort & Conference Center 3011 Maingate Lane, Kissimmee Florida. Its a nice hotel in a good location close to Disney and Universal. It's a mid size convention. The prices make a trip to play one day and visit resorts an excellent proposition.
The 15mm tournament will be on Saturday, April 26. Three rounds. 200 AP.
Any army from 1000 AD to 1540 AD is eligible.
Registration is not open yet, but will be required with tabletop if past is prolog. This is a Save the Date email. More info to follow.

If that is not enough of a lure, let the call go out across the world that I am planning on attending. |

From Kurt H:
We planted our ADLG flag at ReCon and held a second tournament. We managed to get a nice room which we are guaranteed by the Director of ReCon to have for the foreseeable future. Even though the room was on the 6th floor, and away from the main Hall of the Con, we still had some foot traffic by DBA players who have expressed an interest in the rules. Next year I will make an effort to run a largish Demo game Friday night.
As to tournament attendance, we had two For Cause cancellations, and one no show. But we still managed a double digit attendance.
The winner of the tournament was the King of Siam, a/k/a, Bill McCampbell!! Congrats to Bill!
The winner of both the Head Hunter award for killing the first General in the tournament, and the Pillage award for sacking the first camp goes to Rick Parrish! Congrats to Rick. Best painted army was won by Rob Jones who had a pretty Konstantinian Byzantine army with painted shield designs.
The results are as follows:
1. Bill McCampbell, Siam
2. Steve Roper, French Ordonnance
3. Rick Parrish, Burgundian Ord.
4. Kyle Hanshaw, HYW English
5. Kurt Holmes, Later Crusades
6. Tom Breza, Tamil Indians
7. Rob Hutson, HYW English
8. Lou Coniglio, Ilkanid Mongols
9. Mike Winters, French Ord.
10. Robert Jones, Konstantinian Byzantine
A special thanks to the prize coordinator, Tom Breza, who managed to get an incredible amount of prize support. I will post the prize support contributors once I get the list from Tom.
Thank you to all who attended this year. I looked forward to ReCon 3 next year!
Best,
Kurt |
