|
This year's 25mm ADLG competition is a two day, four game competition on the January 31st/February 1st 2025, held at the Kitto Centre in Plymouth.
Scale 25mm, 60mm UD, max 200 points. If you have a nice terrain mat you may like to bring it with you, otherwise PAW will supply terrain cloths, players need to bring their own terrain features.
This year's theme is 1345: Europe after the Bastards.
All armies must be drawn from the following list, and be valid and legal in 1345 (in ADLG terms after the arrival of heavy knights and before LB/Sw infantry) as 1345 was the year of Sir Baldwin Bastard’s death – the year the Bastard family lost their principal seat at Efford, which they had held since the Bastards arrived with Willy the Conqueror.
Efford is of course an eastern suburb of Plymouth, which was known as the Wilds of Efford until the city boundary was adjusted - we didn't just make this stuff up because we were sniggering about Sir Baldwins family name you know..!

It's been pointed out that the list of permitted armies may require a little bastardization..
187, Scots Isles & Highlanders is available in both date and geographic terms, so is added to the list
240, Navarre doesn't technically start until 1349, but given it's been published already, and is completely mad as a box of frogs in the "not in Greece" timeline, it is still permitted.*
(*If you want a more tortuous justification, Chales II was already running part of the future Navarrese kingdom in 1345, having been appointed Count of Évreux in 1343. He also gained the epithet "The Bad" due to being a right bastard, so could easily be squeezed into this period on that basis alone.) _________________ www.madaxeman.com |
