Hi all
My name is Paris and I live in Patras, Greece - here in Patras we used to have an active wargaming community (up to 14 players), but due to various reasons things did really deteriorate in the past 4-5 years, especially when DBM said farewell to arms - some of us (not many) play FOW and the FOGx rulesets, although (the truth be spoken) with not so much enthusiasm - I have to say that as soon as we discussed the opportunity to test AdG, all active and at least 4-5 of the other members said instantly yes - we all think that we really do have something here! The rulebook has not arrived yet ( a pity), but seeking the net we already have a rather clear idea of the concept (keep in mind that we are all battle - hardened wargamers) - we see nostalgia, an interesting gameplay, speed and economy, a most player-friendly gaming environment and a fair amount of originality - thumbs up for AdG and Herve

We all hope that things will get straight soon enough - then, you 'll be all most welcome at the 1st Greek AdG tournament - our club (Hoplon Patras) did organise for 3 years in a row the International DBM Patras Challenge, so we know a couple of things about philoxenia!

Over here we already had our first battle and as a former FOG player I must say that I relly enjoyed the simple and still clever mechanics in ADG. With ADG you can play the battle not the rules!

I hope you get your copies soon and maybe well find each other on the opposite side of the long edges of a table....

The book has finally arrived! I got a look inside and I must give credits to Herve Caille for his amazing work! Crystal clear written rules, lots of helpful diagrams, awesome pics and all army lists included - Hurrahhhh! First battle Saturday evening with at least 6 fellow gamers present - Thank you all again for your posts (great picture APA!) and keep gaming

Hi all,
I am also a wargamer from Patras, Greece. I have just tried out AdG and it looks really nice. In the past I have played DBM and FoG. It seems that AdG has many good elements from both of them and promises to deliver the flavor of ancient battles on the tabletop in a shorter time. It looks good!
