|
on Thursday i will go for my 2nd Game. Really looking forward to this.
This time we will play with 15mm Miniatures. I will go for Burgundian Ord., my fellow for late med.Germans. Lot of Knights on the field....I am tempered by fielding some guns.
Are guns any good? In FOG.A they are no good at all, just a senseless feature which do no harm at all to an opponent. |

Using guns il difficult cause of terrains.
It's sometimes (well ... often) difficult to have good target.
Actually it depends of the sort of guns you play.
Light can move but have a range of 4 UD.
Heavy can't move but have a range of 8 UD, and beyond 4 UD a zone of shoot of 3 UD and can chose the target.
You can ignore a screen of LI or LH and every ennemies have no armor.
So lot of avantages
If you can have a good position you'll able to inflict lot of touch. _________________ Hasta la victoria Siempre!

Sounds good...
SO the best will be to put them in the corps that i put the last on the table...
Probably like a trap. First putting some easy to kill troops in the open like mi on the table, but slightly behind the line of deployment. hoping for the opponent to put some good troops in front...knights or pikes....than put the guns in front of the mi....might work.... |

but you can only deploy your corps in rectangular shapes that can't overlap and that are wing/center/wing. so if you deploy your easy to kill troops, you can't put the guns of another corp in front of them. aside only. _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |

I did understand the deployment rules somewhat different. The rectangulars are not allowed to overlap. but nowhere in the rules is something about that they are not allowed to be behind one of each other like this:
opponent is here
my army is here
left wing rect. center rect. open right wing
2nd center rect.
if center rect. and 2nd center rect. do not overlap, everything is ok. thats how I got the rules? Otherwise how deploy a reserve? |

the corps of your army (1st, 2nd and 3rd) can be deployed as 123 or 132 or 213 or 231 or 312 or 321 but not as 12 _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |

oups. the message was send before i finished !
so not as
12
3
if you want a part of your army as reserve on a second rank, this must be as part of one of the corps.
or you can place like this:
1 2
3
in this case, the 3rd corp is not directly behind no other corps _________________ Audentes fortuna iuvat. |

You can't overlap your corps during deployment.
I'm sure it's write in the french version.
I didn't read the english one ... but it is the same. _________________ Hasta la victoria Siempre!

I did write to herve and he proved that your idea of deployment is correct.
Only left center right, but you can have lets say left in the center and center and right more on the right side. Sounds like a stupid sentence....but i hope you get my idea... |

You can deploy a second line behind your center (belonging to the center corps of course) so with a 1/4 tour it's easy to go to the left or right flank if you are able to make more than one movement. But it's difficult after to manoeuver a corps halved with another corps in the middle. Problem of CP and command distance. _________________ Hasta la victoria Siempre!
