|
Hi everyone,
Got a rules question about general with units when the unit routs.
So, general is with a unit and the unit routs. The general was not engaged.
Page 24 , 2nd paragraph from bottom, says that if generalised with unit when it routs, he is not at risk of death.
Page 25 , 1st paragraph, says, if general is with unit when routs, he is at risk of death on a 1-3.
Which is correct?
Thanks
Simon |

Hi Simon.
Both are correct. The general will be at risk if he was engaged in melee with the unit who routed.
If he was only attached for mouvement or rally, he doesn't risk anything _________________ C'est un Germain Breton, il faut pas le secouer trop fort, meme s'il le demande.

As Seb says, if the general fought in the combat (i.e. his bonus was used), he is at risk. If he did not fight (i.e. his bonus was not used) then he moves to a nearby unit. |

a)stays in place?
b)goes to a friendly unit in 5 u?
c) goes for 5 u whereever he likes? |

The generals goes to the nearest friendly unit without any risk. _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"

As usual, the Commodore is right. The rule is on pages 24-25
COMMANDER IN MELEE: "... he must flee up to his maximum distance (5 UD) towards the nearest friendly unit. If he cannot reach a friendly unit (even of another army corps), the commander is considered captured and counts as lost." |
