Does anyone have any idea how the international rankings are calculated?

They seem somewhat random to me.

Take a selection from the record of the leading player Rafael Tortosa:

At Alcoy 2016,4th of 18, score 371, 45 Championship Points (CPs)
At Malaga 2016 2nd of 20, score 204, -3 CPs
At e-minis 2nd of 10, score 228, 94 CPs
At Pamplona 2015 20th of 28, score 127, 43 CPs
At Alcoy 2015 9th of 14, score 161, 53 CPs

Weird, no?
