An ambush marker prevents enemy units and groups from making a second / third move until it is revealed to be a dummy. Does an ambush marker (real or dummy) provoke an 'uncontrolled charge'?
I am presuming it does not affect impetuous troops in any way, but wanted to check. |

Don't forget :
- there's no uncontrolled charge if the impetuous unit would have to fight in a terrain penalizing
- impetuous units are not impetuous against all units. For ex heavy cav against heavy foot. |

p 70 a unit may not charge an ambush.
Ergo no impetuous charges into ambush markers. |

You are never allowed to charge an ambush marker (see p 70). As a consequence an impetuous unit cannot initiate an uncontroled charge against this marker.. _________________ patrick lefebvre

Thanks both, though I would prefer it if we were to say that an ambush marker does not cause an impetuous unit to charge it (other circumstances permitting). |

I am not sure I agree with that because it implies other things. What many rule books could use is the same point in more than one place with same wording.
So in the section of all the bullets about what an impetuous charge ignores. Add ambush markers. That would be easy and improve clarity if a bit redundant. |
