I had 400 unpainted figures lying around, and decided to paint them up. They are mostly barbarian foot, and I figured I would paint them as Gauls, Germans, with supporting elements for any number of armies.
I am in the mounting stage of this effort, and started working out the lists, and I think I have way too many. Currently mounted is 12 elements of Heavy Infantry, 13 Medium Infantry, 12 Cavalry, and I still have about 100 figures not committed.
So far, my lists look like two corps of Infantry, and one cavalry. 16 Mediums or 12 Heavies, with 6-8 cavalry. It looks like I will never need more barbarian foot. What to do with the rest? _________________ Phil

You may consider armies in 300 or 400 pts. Even if "pure" barbarians armies are difficult to command and manoeuver in those budget. (same command) _________________ "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead"

if your painting is half decent sell them on Ebay and use the money to buy another army. |

I'd be inclined to base up the extra figures and swap out the poorest fighters after each game
Alternatively, you could look at fielding an almost entirely foot army from time to time.

An honest look at my figures tells me I don't paint as well as I used to. I won't be embarrassed to put them on the table, but I won't be proud either. _________________ Phil
