If a General is both "Attached" and "Unreliable", is the cost savings accumulative? IE -3 points for each "Type"?

Yup, so an included Ally General is -6pts. That raised my eyebrows, but I was happy to accept it given how hard it can be to fit all you want inside 200pts.

So for two unreliable, attached generals you can save 12 points. Which, for all that risk and reduced functionality, you can get one more unit of any value, or two pieces of trash. It sounds like a loser's bet to me.

and with 3 included and 2 unreliable generals, that's 15 points saved... you can pick 5 levies! !
i once made a budget (not painted) for an Aechemenid army with this, and taking all mediocre troops: 42 units... that's a blob!

More seriously, you can spent the points in a better general (competent included = 0 budget) or to give the "elite quality" to a troop.
