Units 1-2 are friendly but from diff .commands .
Player has activated unit 2 command first.
Can he put unit 2 in side edge 2 side edge contact with enemy unit A as in the diagram in order to prepare overlap position and then move unit 1 into frontal contact with A? |

The diagram is a little unclear, but if 2 is intending to start in the front arc of A, then the answer is "No".
The first unit that makes contact with an enemy is considered to be charging, and must conform with the enemy unit. In this case if 2 is moved first it would be deemed to be charging the front of A and would conform accordingly.
However, once unit 1 has charged and conformed with A, it is in now in melee with the front edge of A, so unit 2 can move to support it's friend and slide along the flank of A. In this case, unit 2 does not have to stop and conform on contacting the front corner of A. |
