|
Is it possible to line the edge of natural features such as woods, marshes, hills etc. since, pg 63, they need to be irregular in shape?
Geometrically it is not possible for a straight edged base to perfectly line the edge of an irregular feature such as a wood. Of course fields, plantations and villages need to be rectangular and so this issue does not arise for them.
Is this taking base shapes too literary? |

Ok, but can your side edge align with the edge of terrain and use a 1UD shift to come out, like in the recently debated example. With irregular terrain this is geometrically impossible. |

You have obviously answered your own question.
Ultimately the decision is up to you since you (and your opponent) are providing the terrain and therefore decide the shape beforehand.Â
Note, The terrain shapes are described on p63Â |

First a shift requires a 1 UD advance. I would bet with both you can clear the terrain. So "impossible" may be too strong a word.
