Ciao a tutti i nostri amici d'oltralpe!

For the 15th Winter Offensive of the Grognards (OHG 15) d’Alsace, an ADLG 15mm / 200pt / 5-game tournament will take place on Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st, 2026 in Lingolsheim near Strasbourg.

Designed and referred by myself, its "historical" theme is:

The French national narrative: "The Do-Nothing Kings"! "The Do-Nothing Kings": an international narrative?

It is on this twofold assertion/question that the theme of the 2026 tournament is built.
In the year 750 AD, all armies of the following empires/nations/kingdoms/factions are invited: Each army list contains two or more factions, so that list can be used as many times as there are factions. Of course, this must conform to the faction's specific characteristics as described in the army list.

If there is an ally, then it must be chosen from the factions listed as of 750 AD, of course.[/i]
Authorized Lists:
42 lists have been selected (see french post). They correspond to the countries, nations, empires, kingdoms, khanates, and caliphates existing at the time of 750 AD. (some might be missing; please let me know via private message, thank you).

List Selection:
Each of these 91 factions can be selected once. Please provide its number via private message or email (jmltg2004@yahoo.fr).
There may be secondary choices in case your first choice is no more available.
As soon as a list is chosen, I will « show » it in the french tournament post in bold italics in green. Please remind me if your choice doesn't appear within 5 days. Thank you.
Special Rules: "To be or not to be... lazy"
1) The player who is the "laziest" in each area of the world (i.e., the lowest-ranked in that subgroup) will be rewarded according to their skill.

2) The player who chooses faction 41 will be awarded 5 victory points.

Tournament rules:
Pairings:
- first round: draw between the group of “Childeric Buddys” and that of the “others”;
- for other rounds direct Swiss system if 32 players otherwise arranged (2.1);
- for the first four: rounds no meetings between players from the same club;
- Sunday afternoon “no mercy”;
Other points:
- Duration of games: 2 hours 30 minutes in 7 rounds minimum.
- The games stop when the referee calls on the defender's turn. He declares a Blitz ending if necessary to reach 7 turns.
- Terrains: Players must bring correct and representative terrain elements.
- Playing surface: The tables will be 120 x 80 cm.

- Deployment plans must be shown to the opponent at the end of the game. They will be checked by the referee. In the event of non-compliance, the referee will redeploy the units at the edge of the table in accordance with the plan unless this disadvantages the opponent.
- Players must count the turns.
- Dice must be provided by the organization
- No second throws
- In the event of an unintentional rule error, there is no going-back, except in simple cases concerning the current phase.

Each list will be unique and in 200 points. The faction, the details of the troops and the name of the player are kindly requested.
Participants will send their list by February 21, 2026.
The armies played and the player list will be released a few days before the tournament.

Saturday 28 Feb 26
Check-in and breakfast as of 8:30 a.m.
- 1st round: 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Lunch 12:30-1:30 p.m.
- 2nd round: 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- 3rd round: 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Dinner 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at a restaurant: at the one in downtown Strasbourg or a new one near the playground. This is an optional activity.
